Sunnyside Ranch Community Solar Array Ribbon Cutting

January 21, 2020

Last Friday, May 15th, some of the Sunsense team attended the ribbon cutting for the Sunnyside Ranch Community Solar Array. Sunsense designed and installed this 1.8 megawatt photovoltaic system for Clean Energy Collective (CEC)–a company that specializes in community based clean-energy facilities.

CEC’s founder and president, Paul Spencer, was the primary speaker for the event. He discussed how CEC had begun in the Roaring Fork Valley and how he was especially excited to see his company’s largest project to date installed right here in Carbondale, CO. He also gave a nod to Sunsense for providing EPC contract services on this and several other CEC projects totaling 4MW in capacity.

Sunsense’s Sunnyside Team-Mark Item, Scott Ely, and Jeff Lauckhart enjoyed celebrating the completion of a project that was 1.5 years in the making and the product of a partnership between CEC, Sunsense, and Holy Cross Electric.

Whether you put modules on your roof or buy into a community solar garden, going solar is always a great decision for your electric bill and your carbon footprint. If you are interested in solar for your home or solar for your business, call one of our Solar Consultants at (970) 963-1420.
