This project includes 9.36kW system with (2) Tesla Powerwall batteries that provide 27kWh of storage capacity. The battery storage is used for backup power and self-consumption at night. The solar provides enough production capacity to cover the daily electricity usage of the home while recharging the batteries that were used at night. In the event of an extended power outage, this system would likely provide indefinite backup power using the solar by day and batteries at night.
